Carolina Storm Bid for World Series! – August 6 – 8, 2015
Our Carolina Storm Wheelchair Softball players have partnered with the South Carolina Mauldin Maulers team and are in a position to win the National Wheelchair Softball Association (NWSA) World Series in August.
Our Miracle League of Indian Trail Vice President and Coach of the Carolina Storm team, Bob Green, reported this powerful team tore up the field winning the regional tournament in Georgia in July, going undefeated!
Coach Bob said, “…we beat the Shepherd team from Atlanta 11-6. Next game we took on the team from Nashville Tenn. (the #5 ranked team in the country last season) beat them 10-1 and then beat them again in the championship game.”
That tournament, a one day regional event in Alpharetta, GA is a prelude to the upcoming NWSA World Series in Bilouxi, MS on August 6th – 8th – https://www.usm.edu/gulfcoast/wheelchair-softball-world-series
When asked for pictures Coach Bob apologized saying “Sorry – too busy to take pictures.” But we did find this picture from the team’s win at the NWSA Southeastern Slugfest in Greenville, SC in June.
With your help maybe one day our Miracle League will host tournaments or a World Series.
Join us as we cheer for the team from here in Indian Trail!

The Carolina Storm and Mauldin Maulers Wheelchair Softball Teams held a pick up game and practice on the Sardis Elementary School parking lot, where the Storm is forced to regularly practice. We want to get these players off the hot, hard asphalt and onto our safe rubberized surface Miracle League field.
